Trade Secrets, Fraud, and Unfair Business Practices Litigation

Represented a manufacturer of a medical device sold throughout the United States in an unfair business practice and fraud case. The manufacturer was originally sued for product liability; counsel obtained a summary judgment in the manufacturer’s favor and re-aligned the parties so that the manufacturer was the plaintiff at trial.
Obtained a defense judgment for a water purification company against claims involving breach of shareholder agreement, covenant not to compete, and misappropriation of trade secrets used in the manufacture of water purification systems.
Obtained a summary judgment on fraud claims and then negotiated a zero-dollar dismissal for defendant purchasers of a corporation.

Contract and Property Disputes

Represent multiple businesses in commercial collections matters.
Represented a national hotel management company in the collection of amounts and the resolution of contract disputes under hospitality and convention contracts.
Represented a national retailer in a property dispute with the landlord.
Represented a golf club owner in litigation with HOA and concerned property owners’ group regarding lot assessments.
Represented club owner/property owners’ association in disputes regarding property owners’ failure to pay mandatory recreational assessments.

Personal Injury Defense

Represented a national restaurant chain in personal injury and dram shop claims throughout Texas.
Represented a national hotel chain in an alleged drowning suit and obtained a dismissal with prejudice.
Represented hospitality clients for injuries occurring on the premises including slip and falls, foreign objects in food, food-borne illnesses, and parking lot altercations.
